Self-Defense (Goshin-Jitsu) techniques and applications are taught as a part of regularly scheduled classes. Knowing self-defense can increase your options and help you prepare responses to slow down, de-escalate, or interrupt an attack.
Kyokushin Karate Goshin-Jitsu training offers you concepts and skills designed to develop self-protection strategies including blocks, strikes, and take-downs that will help you to defend yourself in a real conflict situation. Kyokushin self-defense techniques are designed to adapt for every age and ability; therefore no previous training is required.
Guardian Dojo offers self-defense seminars and programs to groups and individuals – more information can be found below, or please contact us to discuss your specific needs and requirements.
Our course covers critical thinking about self-defense strategies, assertiveness, powerful communication skills, and easy-to-remember physical techniques in a safe, controlled environment. Our instructors’ respect and respond to your fears and concerns and work with you one-on-one so that you can act competently and decisively for your own protection. Classes will be instructed by Sensei Adrian Shum, and Sensei Markus Erkelenz, and assisted by senior students of the Guardian Dojo.
We feel this is necessary as having a male partner to practice with adds to your experience in the role-play, while a female can relate to the similar experiences surviving as a woman in today’s society.
Taking a self-defense class is one of the most positive acts anyone can do for themselves!
